Lovely little place, will definitely be visiting again next year if there is availability. Recently visited in September for my birthday with my friend and son who is 3 years old. Everything you can think of has been thought about, no need to take towels, dishcloths, washing up liquid, tablets for dishwasher, as they are are already there. I took all this and bin bags etc which were not needed as already provided. The cottage has a local shop within walking distance for everything you could need, however we got a Morrisons delivery to the cottage on arrival for our food/drink etc. The famous Barter books is literally at the end of the road, with a walk into Alnwick itself and Alnwick gardens (not to be missed) only a short walk away. There a plenty of places to at in Alnwick, a couple of places we went to were, dirty bottles and the market tavern, both lovely food at reasonable prices. All in all, beautiful cottage, beautiful place, thanks for having us, and we will definitely be back again. Jill Ellison

My daughter, husband and I stayed in Alnwick cottage for a week in the summer just after lockdown eased. We had a lovely time. The cottage was tastefully decorated, well maintained and clean. We arrived to a welcome tray full of fresh flowers, wine, sweets, tea, coffee, fresh milk and biscuits. The dog was catered for too with food/water bowls, poo bags and biscuits. The cottage was a short walk from the town centre so a perfect location for shops and sightseeing plus its only a short drive from gorgeous beaches. The Co-op was a few yards away for daily essentials and Lidl was also just down the road. The garden is quaint and perfect for a glass of wine and a game of cards on a summer evening watching the world go by. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend Alnwick Cottage. Thank you Gordon, Elaine, Roddy and Rebecca.
