        I spent the nicest three days I think I've ever had in a B&B in Thorncroft -it's clean, tidy, immaculately kept, friendly and welcoming, with lovely breakfasts. Also perfectly located for walking country, the A1 road, the retail estate, the Oaks Hotel across the road and the newly created Aln Valley (Heritage) Railway across the A1 (15 mins walk). There is ample parking. Margaret and Chris were really welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area (basically the perfect hosts). I have booked to go back and I recommend this fully to anyone visiting the area - you cannot go wrong staying here
