I strongly believe that a regular massage is as important as the training itself. It's also hard to find another two hours in a busy schedule to get a massage so make it count and get the best possible service. I've been having a sport massage for many years and used a number of established clinics but Ben is just a different level. I'm seeing him for three years now, every 2-3 weeks, and my body is feeling great, can take the hours of hard training and recover well. Ben always finds the problematic spots and releases the tension. He's also a lovely person and very professional. I thoroughly recommend it.

Its as simple as ABC. A is for adaptable. Ben & Cat will move mountains (or at least TrainingPeaks) so you can tick off that session. B is for bespoke. No two athletes are the same and every session is truly unique to you and your goals. C is for caring. I honestly think these guys care more about my performance and progression than I do at times. And thats a blooming great feeling.

If you're looking for a team (Cat and Ben) who can set your sessions (and get to know you well and quickly) but also support on massage and think outside of the box (nutrition, mental strength, S&C, make it social, have 3rd party connections etc) these are your guys. It helps that they are a laugh and down to earth too. From a triathlon perspective, it also helps that they know what you've been through whether it be starting out, injury or at the high end of the sport at all the distances and, importantly they are completely open to discussing anything. A couple of the things I have learnt since working with Cat (started April 2018, but i'm still learning!) are: How to be my own judge in sessions, races and overall Importance of rest when stressing the body and S&C Be confident in myself throughout triathlon that i can reach my huge goals / just let go and see where I get to Find that greater purpose (yep, it might sound a bit airy fairy but 90 mins into a standard distance or 6 hrs into an Ironman those supporting thoughts matter) Overall, good team work.

I genuinely cant speak highly enough of ABC Pure. As coaches, they are knowledgeable, experienced and supportive. They produce tailored, adaptable training plans to fit your individual abilities, goals and schedule. They are highly responsive and communicative and really take the time get to know you as an athlete and as a person. Cat patiently and empathetically deals with my wavering confidence, provides constructive feedback and doesnt (openly) laugh at me when I do ridiculous things like falling off my turbo trainer. In addition to coaching, ABC has an array of helpful resources and supplementary services I highly recommend the swim video analysis!

I haven't experienced a better sport-specific massage in London. Ben is a real professional. His knowledge of anatomy comprehensive. His dedication to sorting out your niggles absolute. We frequently go over the hour I pay for and I always leave feeling battered but better. And I've never had a half-arsed session either, every time Ben takes the time and considerable effort to knead out all my kinks and niggles. If you're after a sports-specific massage then I would recommend him hands down as your go to guy. But be prepared for a little pain, because he packs a punch!
