Robins Retreat is a beautiful, modern shepherds hut with the amazing added bonus of a wood fired hot tub to use for its guests. Located on the hillside overlooking the Cuckmere River - it's a wonderful spot for a peaceful escape. Mandy and Darran are lovely hosts who were so welcoming during the stay but also brilliant at communication before arrival. The accommodation is fully equipped with everything you need and more, including items such as a radio and dishwasher. My partner and I had a really lovely two night weekend stay which was such a welcome break from our busy lives. Alfriston offers lots of nice pubs, shops, coffee places and is lovely for a stroll. We did a lovely walk from a neighbouring village all the way out to The Seven Sisters coast. The local area offers lots to explore and we really could have stayed for a whole week with plenty to do and see. I've already been recommending Robins Retreat to friends and family.

Walkability: You can walk in a few minutes into Alfriston village which is a magical little place. Food & drinks: We were able to order various little bits from the owners, eggs, milk, bacon, sausages and the jam!. They were spectacular. Noteworthy details: The convection oven is top tech and therefore you definitely need to adjust you cooking times to less or lower heat!

This is the most idyllic location for a stay - our stay here was a real treat. The cabin was wonderful, had everything you need and the bed was super comfy! The hot tub was a real luxury and the hosts were lovely. I would recommend a stay here to anyone. Book a stay, you wont regret it! Peace and tranquility and lovely surrounding views and walks. Pet friendly so we and the dogs loved it! Noteworthy details: The beauty of this place is that it is carbon neutral
