We visited on a Sunday (12th March) for there Sunday lunch menu. Food was lovely and the service was fantastic, set in a beautiful location. It was a shame that a family group were seated quite close with 5 or 6 children children that were allowed to run around and play on the floor around other tables. The parents seemed oblivious to their behaviour. Staff apologised to us for the disruption but little was done to address the issues. Such a shame as I would have awarded 5 stars but this did somewhat spoil what was meant to be a lovely experience.

The set meal portion size was miserly. The soup was no more than a few spoonfuls although good. The main was a joke... a small starter for any other restaurant ... tiny portion... and excessively salty. The the best part was dessert as the custard was more volume than the rest put together. The discrimination for Vegans is immense... there is no set menu for you ... well actually there is.. one choice of starter main and dessert.... that is it and at 20 more than the other menu it is a rip off and a real smack in the face to lactose intolerant people. The wine was really good . The room was supposed to be a superior one ...but the noise from other rooms was excessive and the furnishings as basic as they can get. No tv... the room was cold and a little oil radiator supplied . Tiny bathroom that had a shower that only thin people could access. Matress was comfy but overall we felt that the food choice was zero... the amount miserly and value for money in early March not good. Coupled with that they tried to double charge the meal and wine and we left with negativity all round. The waitress serving and the breakfast was excellent .but limited. We would not go there again... but if you are not Vegan or lactose intolerant or you don't choose the set menu it may all be very different .
