My wife and I visited yesterday with a view to buying a sofa. We bought a sofa and a chair, both very much to our liking. Annie was exceptionally helpful, patient and spent a huge amount of time guiding us to our decisions. Thank you very much Annie. We also bought a doggie ornament and cast iron pump with the help of a young man whose name, regrettably, I dont know. Thank you very much to this member of staff as well.

Good selection of quality home furniture. Well laid out room settings with a full range of accessories, pictures, artworks etc.

We've visited Holloways twice in the last week. The first visit was to buy an outdoor pot and the second visit was to buy a gift. The guy who helped us with the pot was very helpful. We stayed on for lunch but it was over cooked and more importantly, served as though we weren't customers but a hindrance. We thought we'd give the cafe a second chance today but unfortunately we felt just as unwelcome. The cafe wasn't particularly busy but we waited too long for comfort for service, the cakes were mediocre and both coffees were almost cold. Again we were made to feel unwanted when we enquired about the different cakes, when we ordered and when paying. This was also the case when paying for the gift we bought. The assistant wasn't busy but there was no 'hello' and minimal interaction other than asking if we wanted a bag and the receipt. It's such a shame as it's a lovely setting with beautiful gifts, garden and home wear but certainly in our experience, doesn't provide a lovely, warm, friendly and inviting service.
