Firemizer

These have been bought over the past five years and the results are mixed. It works well for a while before breaking down and whilst the remaining ash is very fine and powdery, this mesh device does not last anywhere near the claimed up to '500' hours. The 'up to' is the caveat. Our Dik Geurts wood burner is not large and we' would have expected a longer life span. Last winter (2021) one mesh lasted less than a calendar month with little usage. I brought this to Firemizer's attention and was promised they'd send a 'double' welded mesh to trial. This never appeared and follow up e-mails were ignored.On the whole this is rather disappointing and you can perhaps, draw your own conclusions. Some people may have had better results with theirs, but alas, not us and hence the three star rating. The rating was going to be two stars, but as its Christmas I'm feeling rather generous.

To say I was somewhat sceptical about purchasing this device would be an understatement, but I did, and to date it hasnt failed to impress, getting the fire going is easier, the burn between attending the fire is greatly extended, logs use to last about 30/40 minutes now go for over an hour, with a noticeable reduction in ovals used, and even very hot embers the following morning, plus a significant reduction in ash, the firemizer will pay for itself very quickly, Im one very impressed customer.

We have been using a Firemizer in out log burner for 3 years and are delighted with how it seems to help the fire burn more efficiently. We usually use just 2 a year so they work out fairly economic. The website is very easy to use and the Firemizer arrives quicly and well packaged. Would highly reccommend.
