The main issue was that over a year after I believed all services were concluded and paid for, I received a debt chasing email just before Christmas to inform me that I owed 616 as they continued to "act on my behalf" until I informed them not to. I was given 7 days to pay with no negotiation available for terms, despite the fact that they admitted to not sending a letter or making a call to contact me about this as that was "not the preferred communication method we have on file". It was a relatively small amount and I offered to pay it within 60 days, however, this was rejected. Unfortunately, they opted to proceed with legal action (probably spending the value of the debt in legal proceedings) and I was issued with a CCJ - the first and only I have ever received and have suffered with extreme difficulties in obtaining credit since.
I can only advise against using these solicitors as they are (in my opinion) at the very least immoral and untrustworthy.
Ironically, I received an email from them some time later stating that I in fact OVERPAID the CCJ repayment, however, I have heard nothing back to my reply and can only assume that they still owe me this money.
They also didn't bother to update the Registry Trust to show the CCJ as settled, which it was within months of it being issued. Another issue I am still dealing with years later.
I can see that the same staff work there from replies to other reviews. My advice? Look at TrustPilot - you will clearly see the many 1 star reviews.
