Riddings Wood Holiday Park

Owners on site unhelpful. Cars getting stuck in the pitches, having to pay a tow company to come on site to tow car off. Owners took no responsibility or offered any assistance and still rented the pitches despite cars getting stuck., 3 male toilets, 2 out of order during our stay. Would not recommend. **EDIT** We did not have a commercial van, our friends who were also stuck did not have a commercial van, nor did the family we had to push out of the mud before we left. Poor response to my review from the owner!!! Accept responsibility and stop taking bookings for pitches people cannot get out of!

We stayed over the Easter weekend until Tuesday and there were a few showers (definitely not significant rainfall) on the last 2 days we were there. The car got stuck in the mud when we were leaving. There was no warning that the ground was boggy and several other cars also got stuck. Given how light the rain was this must happen on a regular basis so the ground should either be gravelled, closed off when boggy or at least have warnings up. FYI, anyone unlucky enough to need towing out of the mud was being charged 200! Thankfully we were able to get out with a push from a few fellow campers. Other than that the men's shower block has 2 showers and 3 toilets, though all 3 toilets were out of order at the same time while we were there. There is a washroom with 2 sinks to clean pots which was good.
