Slimming World Head Office Alfreton

Eventually I bucked up enough courage to join Borough Green ( Kent ) Slimming World. I neednt have worried , the most genuine lovely leader Anita greeted me and a few other newbies, explained the programme and we got started. This concept takes a bit of getting used to but our lovely group leader Anita explained the programme very well and even reached out by text in between classes to encourage and support. This lady is a real caring treasure and so natural at this role. I feel that I am so lucky to be part of such a lovely local group and feel sure that this bit of magic will ensure I reach my goal.

I have been a member since Jan 2019, reaching my target in March 2020 just before I turned 50, having lost 4st 8lbs. I have an under active thyroid and had tried to diet at home myself and I was unsuccessful. My elder sister was a member at Slimming World and had done extremely well. She inspired me to give it an go. I was nervous about going to my local group for two reasons. One I thought I would know too many people. Secondly my consultant at the time was a man. I had no reason to worry about either. I didnt tell anyone apart from my husband I was joining. That way if I wasnt successful it wouldnt matter. I lost 6lbs in my first week. I didnt look back, until covid hit. I rejoined in 2022 having gained 2st. Unfortunately my old group was no longer running so I found a new group which was further away. Due to my new fitness and a fellow member, now a great friend we walk the 4 miles there and back during the summer months. Food optimising really works and I am close to target again. I have fully embraced body magic and loving every minute of it. Thank you Slimming World, big shout out to Sue my consultant at Merstham, Surrey xx

I have been attending the 09.30 Southwater & Horsham SW Group in Horsham for some years, before during Covid, and have always enjoyed the group. Sarah Kewley was the consultant and when she, very sadly, left us to pursue another career, the amazing Sarah Cockerill took her place. How lucky were we? Sarah C is such an inspiration, cheering us on as we take the SW journey, never judges us when we hit a bump in the road but keeps us motivated with her wit and her wonderful sense of humour. If I had to describe her I would call her "Human Sunshine". Gail Pickles, 05.08.22
