Dr N Dubb - Streets Corner Surgery

Very, very impressive. Without too many details, I consulted Dr Dubb about one issue which transpired to be trivial and he picked up on something of which I was unaware and could have developed into a far more dangerous situation. So many, many thanks. I can't agree with the negative comments about the " front line " staff, who I have found to be very helpful and totally unlike the stereotypical " Doctors' Receptionists " . I find 90% of the Reception staff look down towards you. They give out medical advice and try to push you into their treatment recommendations instead of seeing the doctor. I rang for an urgent appointment after being unwell for weeks, the lady told me what medication i should be trying first - i mean this with no disrespect but they should not be giving out this advice and refusing my request to see the doctor. You cant get an appointment for 3 + weeks its ridiculous. The doctors themselves are amazing, the main issue lays with the FOH staff. Whilst I understand why the receptionist ask for the reason you want to see the doctor, many issues are private and personal and they refuse to book you in during emergency appointments unless you tell them. They tell you to ring at 8am, however you can not get through at all and then by the time you have ( about 8:40) all appointments have gone and they blame you for not ringing????? Used to be a good atmosphere but over the past coupld years its really changed. Such a shame because people should feel comfortable going to the doctors.

I was given an appointment in 24 hours. Due to staff illness I received a notification it had been cancelled and was offered an appointment the following day . Illness happens and the surgery were able to cover the appointment quickly . Excellent service
