After going to the post office on Saturday afternoon. And being told that they are close. But finding out that they should be open. (from the post office company untill 5.30pm ) the place is a joke. When they are open. The woman behind the post office. Never say hello. Has a face as straight as bull dog chewing a wasp. Always seems as if it's too much to serve you. I've live in the village for many years now. When I 1st came here the people who ran the shop before had it always stock up with food. Now he gets his food from tesco. Brings it back and adds more on the price. The shop is a joke. Would not recamend as you can get you shopping cheeper in tesco. And using the post office at Mersham. They are so much more friendly. Why pay more when you could pay less and get a better service else where.

Update: Annoyed response from the owner to my review 6 months ago. Just highlights my review was justified. On three different occasions I've tried to post a load of parcels on a Saturday at different times between 9am-12:30pm which is the opening hours. Yet everytime they have been closed. I've been told they are still open Saturday just don't appear to be. For a local post office very unreliable.

Aldington Post Office is a tremendous asset to the village. I regularly use the postal services to buy stamps, post letters and packages for the walking group I belong too - until two years ago this included mailing around 400 items three or four times a year and nothing was too much trouble. I also do much of my personal banking and foreign currency purchases here. It's so convenient - only a few minutes walk from my home - especially when many bank branches have closed in recent. years
