Mill Race Garden Centre

I placed an online order and all the stuff was ready when I arrived. I'm sure the ripped bag of compost at the bottom of the pile of bags I purchased was a total coincidence. Oh and the fertiliser that looked like it had been left out in the sun for a few years probably isn't much used either. Either buy your items in person or go elsewhere.

Very good garden centre. Good range of items for home and garden, and a cracking cafe to boot.

Lovely place. Went with my daughter and am pleased to say the place is easily accessible by mobility scooter. Plenty of choices and interesting things to peruse. Cafe staff were obliging and very helpful. Only wish that every meal didn't come carb loaded. However staff staff made me a tuna and egg salad. Lovely thanks.

Difficult to park as no marking so people taking up several spaces with one vehicle. Swallow Aquatics was a usual lacking in staff. Could not get assistance and impossible to see the fish to make a choice due to poor lighting and overall set up. So much better at Rayleigh. Then in terms of the garden centre, no Weber bbq stuff, no decent charcoal, two bags of lawn feed/ weed which were both damaged and then to leave a huge queue, very slow moving due to quality of till staff, no direction how or where to queue so people all over the place and to add insult, other colleagues just standing and watching while customers were moaning about the situation. Wont be back.
