Some of the best training I've ever received. They make such an effort to personalise training to each student's style. It's really well thought through and laid out. I've historically struggled with exam material, so ground schooling was adapted to my needs perfectly. After studying with ICE and finishing my PPL, I now feel part of a wonderful and diverse community. The pilots, ground crew and staff are all brilliant people. Just a shame they can't guarantee the weather

I recently completed my initial helicopter training at ICE Helicopters and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The training centre is located in a picturesque area and the facilities are well-maintained and modern. The instructors are highly experienced and knowledgeable, and they made sure that I was well-prepared for my flights. I trained in an R22 Robinson Helicopter, which was in great condition and a joy to fly. My instructor, Ewen, was extremely patient and supportive, and made sure that I was comfortable with the controls and confident in my flying abilities. I also completed my Type Rating in an R44 Robinson Helicopter, which was a challenging but rewarding experience. The training program at ICE Helicopters is comprehensive and well-structured, with a focus on safety and precision. Ewen provided me with detailed feedback after each flight, which helped me to identify areas for improvement and work on my weaknesses. Overall, I would highly recommend ICE Helicopters to anyone who is interested in helicopter training. The quality of the instruction, the facilities, and the aircraft are all top-notch, and the experience was truly unforgettable. Big thanks to the full team!

My experience with ICE Helicopters was great! I attended their intense week-long ground school so I could learn all my theory in preparation for my 9 exams. The teachers/instructors were brilliant, so knowledgable, the facilities were magnificent and everyone was so friendly!

In early October 2020 I visited Ice Helicopters at Elstree Aerodrome . I arrived very early by road from Norfolk . I was given a very polite and warm greeting and as I had phoned up prior to my visit , I was delighted with such a warm greeting at a time when all around standards and courtesy seem to have been misplaced. Ice Helicopters approach to their visitors and customers through their staff one found them extremely refreshing and welcoming.
