Outstanding service from a craft butcher - exceptional quality across an array of wonderful produce. Weve just eaten the most delicious fillet of beef for Christmas Day - divine! We will keep ordering!

A really superb butchers who go the extra mile to provide excellence. The meat is local, ethically sourced and delicious-and I really was so grateful for the fact that they went out of their way to help me get exactly what I wanted. Viva Salter and King! I love small businesses like this.

Superb butchers. Amazing meat on display - everything is truly special. Fantastic aged beefs and some lovely cuts of meat that illustrate traditional butchery at it's best. Always visit when we come to Aldeburgh - but now delighted to be able to order and have items delivered home! Christmas order placed today!

As per the earlier review by Tim Mantle we have a bit of a grouse (sorry for the pun) about the quantity of meat we were sold. We asked for two 8 oz steaks. The assistant picked up a lump of steak and suggested dividing it in two. We said it looked like the two halves would be rather too big. But he divided it and then told us they actually weighed 8 oz each. We paid and left. But examining the receipt later, we saw it was a total of 23.5 oz of steak. So wed bought two 12 oz steaks, 50% more than we asked for (and were told we were getting). We didnt feel like eating so much that evening and divided one of the steaks across the middle (not ideal, you want a whole steak on your plate) so they did last us two meals, but it was just a bit annoying to have been given misleading information. The overall experience may lead us to try Saxmundham Waitrose next time.
