        An excellent, small, cosy seaside retreat. Well maintained, and run by a very welcoming couple who live nearby. As a musician, it was ideal for me while visiting the local recording studio, but this terraced cottage will appeal to anyone who wants to just totally get away from it all. Aldbrough is a small rural village, with a vibrant local shop, where the corn fields and sea shore are never far away. It's a good base to explore this part of East Yorkshire. Hornsea Mere is only 5 miles up the road, and the nature reserves at Spurn point and Bempton cliffs/Flamborough Head provide good days out if youre driving. The roads to Spurn are wiggly but its worth it when you get there. If you need a break from the rural peace, there's nearby Beverley, the local market town, with interesting shopping, a minster, coffee shops and historical architecture.I found some nice pubs in the area, and I'd recommend the local Great Newsome brewery beers. The fish and chips in this part of the world seemed particularly good too.
