Downtide Caravans & Leisure

Had a solar panel fitted to my VW Camper. The owner of the premises and the person who undertook the work were both friendly and helpful. I am pleased with the standard of the work undertaken. However, there was a slight delay, which did not particularly bother me, other than the fact that another member of staff attempted to fob me off, instead of taking the time to find out what was happening, apologise, and reassure me that my van would be ready in time for a planned trip. Whilst I would not discourage others from using this business, the behaviour of this one member of staff ensures that I will never go back. It is a shame, as the owner was helpful in resolving another minor issue that arose.

An excellent caravan buying experience nothing to much trouble from the owners down to the lads in the workshop also plenty of mugs of tea, on the handover day it was really busy but the excellent treatment we were used to continued would highly recommend

Went to have a look at a new caravan , sales team were great and no pressure to buy like some company's, we were shown several different caravans

While on a campsite on the north coast of Norfolk I realised Id forgotten the handle for my aqua roll. Drove here to buy a step and they also sold me the handle separately which Id tried at other local dealers with no success. Easy to buy things and helpful with dare I say not bad prices compared to some other stores Ive been to.

We came to Downtide following a personal recommendation from another customer....and are very pleased we did. Every transaction carries a risk that some things may not go completely as all participants would wish and replacing a 5 year-old caravan with one twice its age only amplifies that risk....but while there have been a few issues, my strong belief is that true professionalism is demonstrated by the way in which those issues are overcome. In that respect, Downtide stands head and shoulders above other dealers we have visited and done business with before, so I'd like to offer our gratitude for the way in which you (collectively) have dealt with the arisings and turned what might have been major disasters into nothing more than a few ripples. While manning issues combined with high workload have sometimes made it slightly tricky to get hold of you, once contact is made everyone we have met has listened, come up with sensible, pragmatic solutions and maintained good humour throughout - this must surely be the way to keep customers happy and ensure they return and spread positive messages about your organisation. Most recently, particular thanks to the Workshop Team, who didn't flinch when I added several snags to the list when we brought the van in yesterday but talked us through possible delays and then exceeded our expectations by fixing every single defect I'd reported and having the 'van ready for collection the very same day. In summary, simply "Thank You" for all your efforts; be assured we will continue to recommend Downtide to our caravanning friends; it's been a pleasure doing business with you.
