Very poor, we waited more than an hour for our food. Half an hour after we ordered a member of staff told us that one of the meals we had ordered was not available, left a menu so we could choose something else but then walked off and didn't come back! When the meals finally came out one of them was the wrong meal.

It was my first time visiting this pub today, i cannot fault the service and friendliness of the staff whatsoever, absolutely lovely people and great service but the food was extremely poor for the price. Burger was overcooked and very poor quality, tasted like a cheap frozen one from a festival and was very disappointing - was really looking forward to it as well, for 11 I'm not expecting gourmet but at least Wetherspoons quality? Starter was also overcooked and the hunters chicken was dry and also overcooked. Sorry guys, can't fault the drinks or the service but the food leaves a lot to be desired Everything else was on point, one of the friendliest pubs I've ever been into actually so it's not ALL bad news.

Food and service were excellent here tonight. Pub is great an a fabulous village. We had walked from the harp but the crown had a much better atmosphere. Would recommend booking for food.
