Well my insurance company engaged this company to repair my flood damaged bathroom and kitchen. Midland Restoration gave me a start date of 4 to 6 weeks in 2020 which meant they should have commenced work in early December. I had no contact whatsoever from this company by telephone or email as they dont seem to be able to keep the customer or the insurance company informed of anything. I complained to my insurance company after 7 weeks who chased them up as I also learnt they had been ignoring my insurance assessors emails when she was asking for a start date for myself. Anyway the work commenced after about 11 weeks and we are at about week 15 now and Im still awaiting the jobs to be finished. I had verbal assurances from what this company was going to do but my advice to anyone that uses this company is to get everything in writing and a work contract from them as what they say and what they do are two different things; and I mean everything as like I said they cannot communicate well at all. Please find yourself a company that you can liaise with and believe in. They dont involve you in decisions that effect your home, they just do what they think is right and you see what they have done when you get home. My advice is give them a miss and go elsewhere or If you do engage them make sure you are there when the work is carried out. Well another 4 weeks have passed and these builders are finally coming back to finish off jobs- Im in despair with them.
