This school has never been the best but its even worse for children that have disabilities. It is very difficult to get support if your child has more complex issues. The attitude is it is YOU, as the parent, if anything is lacking or incomplete.
They are very good at deflecting and dancing around you without actually doing what they promise in a timely manner.
Reports of meetings will magically NOT include THEIR mistakes and short comings but WILL make sure YOUR smallest mistakes are noted and punish passively agressively.
When I say mistakes I mean like once turning up for a meeting late by a few minutes or not bringing in the paperwork you never received from them to school.
Since it became an Academy recently they have become quite accomplished in faking it and blurring the view of the cracks of their short coming but only time will tell if the school will either start improving from this moment or continue its downhill slide, especially in its care and understanding of special needs children.
Thankfully my child will NOT have to suffer any longer at their hands.
Given the above, I can not recommend this school for disabled children..., or children who do not have special needs given what I hear in the playground from other parents.
