OK for the odd electrical job , but don't bother if you're looking for a reliable electrician. Used Paul for a total of 5 jobs - external light install, fuse board upgrade and parial re-wire. The first 3 jobs went well but down-hill from there. 4th job he didnt turn up on the agreed date. When we contacted him he said he was isolating due to coronavirus and that he forgot to inform us (no polite apology!) This resulted in a 5 week delay to works. We expected all of the re-wiring to complete on 4th job. At the end of the job, I clarified that I was expecting the new circuit to be connected to the fuse board and issued a building certificate. Paul told me that he hadn't connected the new circuit to the fuse board as he had only changed the original switches and sockets?! (Not sure what he thought the point of that was seeing as our original lights and switches worked fine and we had instructed him to do a partial re-wire to pass current building standards!) So Paul come back for a 5th time (at our cost and further 4 week delay) to connect the new wiring to the fuse board. Also - our Plasterer got a shock when he plastered the wall and realised the old light socket was still live! Mentioned it to Paul on his 5th visit and got a nonchalant response - He didn't seem bothered about making his work safe.
