Warenford Cottages

Great location to visit local attractions. Lovely cottage, only problem was the shower in the master bathroom was difficult to regulate temperature and we all struggled to turn it off. Didn't use this as there was another shower in the ensuite. We were disappointed there was no recycle waste bins so took this home with us. Swimming pool was excellent and warm which is a bonus after long walks.

As a family of six adults and five children we recently shared the Fordson and Ferguson cottages. We had a very enjoyable peaceful stay with the children especially enjoying the indoor heated swimming pool. On arrival we were greeted by milk in the fridge, coffee, tea , biscuits and a jar of delicious raspberry jam, giving us the perfect start to our weeks holiday. The location is very central and ideal for exploring this beautiful coastline, with Alnwick, Berwick Upon Tweed, Lindisfarne and Bamburgh all within reach. During our stay, one evening we decided to visit the sister company Purdy Lodge restaurant, situated a few miles up the A1. Considering the size of our party we were asked to submit our menu choice by lunch on the day of our visit, what that did mean though was that after drinks we were called to our table and all our meals arrived piping hot and on time. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was excellent. Also the deserts were excellent and I have to say the sticky toffee pudding with lashings of custard was one of the best i have sampled. I would definitely recommend a visit to sample this fine food and service and as a customer of Warenford Cottages you have the bonus of receiving a discount on your bill on show of your cottage key.
