Stayed here for a long weekend in spring. Great location for exploring the Northumberland coast. Amazing use of space and really nicely done out. Kitchen had everything you needed (and the mini Prosecco was a lovely touch). The wood burner kept everything cosy (needed for an unexpected snow flurry!) and heated the space really well. Bamburgh only 10 mins away and the local pub at Lucker (Apple Inn) was dog friendly and pretty decent food and beer.

This small but extremely well equipped and nicely decorated cottage is ideally situated for a visit to Northumberland. Located approximately one off the A1 on the most direct route to Bamburgh it is less than 5 minutes to one of the most beautiful beaches of the North east. Bamburgh castle, seahouses, Lindisfarne, Alnwick castle and Cragside are just a few of the attractions within easy reach. Even Edinburgh is only 40 minutes away by train. It cost just over a fiver each way from Berwick-upon-Tweed. The cottage is ideal for couples and even allows visitors to take a dog. There is a small log burner, TV and all the necessary bits and pieces needed for a well earned break away from the rat race. There is ample parking for your car (as a car is a must in this part of the country in order to access all the wonderful locations it has to offer) well worth the price paid and good value as its peaceful and very well situated for visiting this part of the UK.
