Twyford Wharf Narrow Boats

I passed by on my boat last week and injured myself after doing the next lock down. My girlfriend's work colleague had a friend that lived close to where I was incapacitated on my boat. Within the hour, she was outside, mob-handed with sister-in-law and niece. They assisted me to get back to Twyford Wharf, and she kindly took me to the hospital for a checkup. Thankfully, nothing broken. They bent over backwards to help, even though I wasn't a customer as such. If you want to hire a narrowboat, then this is the place you need. Such a great bunch.

We had such a fun day. Time flew! Colin took us through the first lock, gave us some top tips and we were off! It was our first time on the canal and we loved it. Stopped off for a fabulous lunch at the Great Western Arms, then returned. I would highly recommend Twyford Wharf Narrow Boats. Friendly and competent. A highlight of the summer, very calm and relaxing.

We hired Comet the day-hire narrow boat for a day and it was an all round excellent experience! The pickup and briefing was easy and informative. Comet was charming, comfortable, and simple to drive. The route through the locks passed gorgeous countryside with nice opportunities to stop for a drink/picnic. We had a brilliant day!

Stayed for a week at Bridge Cottage. A beautiful cottage, that is a real home from home. Very spacious, and well set out. Great hosts, made us very welcome. Loved it so much, we have booked again
