Churchfield Surgery

Phoned up with a concern on Tuesday AM, doctor phoned me back Tuesday afternoon and I had been seen by Thursday morning. Can't fault the staff and the doctor was very reassuring. There was a few people waiting at reception getting agitated with the receptionist, but she was busy dealing with patients on the phone so not much she could do. The place is just suffering from too many patients being registered, but with the increase in population density they're always going to struggle if no additional GP's are built.

Every time I call this surgery the receptionist is so rude and dismissive. Her go to word is no, even before hearing a question. She is condisending, unkind and treats every call as both an insult, and waste of her time. She once heatedly berated after presenting me with a form to sign, because I couldn't find a pen. I quote "your generation are useless". She then ranted to me for 5 minutes about how wrong it is that people don't carry pens. She had a box of 20 pens next to her I could have borrowed. The NHS is in crisis, but my misplaced pen is not the reason. Please be kind to your patients. We're not the bad guys here.

I agree with most reviews here: Service from Dr Datta and Marc are amazing, efficient, and kind. I would have given 5 stars, however the reason I am giving this a low rating is because of the receptionists - who would rank a negative 5! They should NEVER EVER be in customer-facing roles. I urge the clinic to reconsider the new reception staff, for the sake of everyone's wellbeing and blood pressure of all visitors. I've heard from some of the staff that the receptionist I saw today can be just as rude to her colleagues as well. I wish I took note of her name.
