All these want to do is get more money out of you . I had them out to my van and he didn't even bother to put the diagnostic machine on he just stuck his head under my van then wanted me to upgrade. I'm very disappointed and a very unhappy customer

I am not recommending AA at all, they charged me for 2 min battery charging 25 only for them to come. 2 months later I received fines of 109 for outbreak service charge, OMG ... 134 for battery charge, I would buy 3 brand new batteries.

Robbed of my money when I needed their help.the most. Customer services will confuse you, not answer clear questions to take your.money and not provide the service you need. They will be rude and refuse and money back requests.

Generally very pleased with their service. Worth it every penny for being an AA member! Very reliable, stick to their word and sort you out immediately with no questions asked. If just their subcontractors would perform such good service... We used the AA breakdown cover twice. First time weve had a flat tyre in some place far out with no reception. Ourselves being about to head off to an overnight tramp. We had a spare tyre under the van but no tools for it. Luckily we met some helpful stranger, he called the AA for us once he was back to signal. They came out and changed the tyre in our absence, which we were absolutely pleased about. Whatever the subcontracted company, they obviously didnt had a compressor. We now had the spare tyre on, but it was only half inflated and we had about an hour drive on a gravel road ahead. Not very great, could have ended in major damage and/or another breakdown. A compressor should be a basic tool for such task. Depending on the age, most spare tyres havent got much pressure left. Second time we got locked out from our van with the key being inside the ignition. Not being prepared to be exposed to the cold for so long, we waited for about 1 hour for assistance to arrive. Cooke Howlison was the subcontracted company. We were freezing, just to get someone rock up with nothing more than a simple piece of bended wire. That only scraped around the door a bit, but van couldnt be opened. We have been left with nothing more than scratches. You would think a company that is expected to perform such task would be equipped with a little more than that. So that company calls in another company called Begg and we waited for another 30-40 mins in the freezing cold. Begg did a similiar method, just that they used something like a hollow wire with a metal string inside, that forms a sling at the end with some rubber bit around the sling. This one grabbed around the lock knob. The string was pulled and gripped the knob tight and was pulled up. Door opened. Very simple and effective. If that method wouldnt have worked out, he would have had a lock pick. Thats what you expect when you ring a professional. It made us wait unnecessarily long in the freezing cold at an unfortunate extra expense to the AA
