Staff were very attentive and friendly, place was clean but gave off more caf vibes than an actual restaurant. The hummus starter was absolutely lovely and the bread that accompanied it too. My doner kebab main was good, nothing special. Presented well but I've definitely had better. Would definitely return. 14 for a starter and a main isn't bad on their lunch offer.

Three stars isnt a true reflection of La Turka as a whole, however we visited on a Saturday night and our table for two wasnt great. Our table was in the window which would have been ok but for the ashtray on the wall outside were people stood and smoked. It made us uncomfortable. The noise in the restaurant was so loud we couldnt hear each other speak, everyone seemed to be shouting over one another! It was manic. I believe this place has a better atmosphere in the afternoons or nights were it isnt crazy busy. All that being said the staff were fantastic, friendly and very attentive. We had a starter each, both were lovely. The main courses were ok. Its not the cheapest place to eat in the town but its a nice alternative.

Early evening so not too busy when we got there. Sat upstairs by a window. Rather cramped to be honest as I was sat against a wall. So I would describe this as food for those who don't like foreign food. Every flavour was turned down. Meze to start. Hmm. Filo pastries had no crunch and were soggy. The sausages were slices of, not actual sausages, and lacked tang. The chilli peppers were green peppers. It looked the part. Mains were A kebab ... Which came with half a pitta... A Chicken and spinach dish... A spicy lamb without spice And a pizza. It looked great it was presented well. But it was so noisy Mr Deaf couldn't hear his wife, virtually sat on his lap. Then a turn came... Singer songwriter type. I just gave up at this point. The food was well done. The staff were attentive. Not going back though.

What a lovely time at La Turka last night. Great food, great atmosphere and the staff were friendly and efficient. The mixed grill is excellent but the star for me was the baklava, heavenly. I also have to mention the Beehave cocktail, not vegan friendly but it was friendly to me Parking: There is on street paking in front of the restaurant which early in the evening is great but I doubt it would be so accessible later on
