Great Harwood Post Office

I had a disappointing experience at this Post Office branch. Unfortunately, I encountered some difficulties in accessing the basic services I needed. Moreover, despite being assured by the Post Office head office that Scottish currency was accepted in all branches, the Post Master refused to accept it and was quite rude and dismissive. I hope that the branch management can address these issues and provide better customer service in the future.

The service in this Post Office and its employees are the worst Ive ever come across. Struggled to get even the most basic of service. I dont know how this branch hasnt been shut down. The post office is certainly not fit for purpose! The Post Master is incredibly rude, sarcastic and belittling and refuses to deposit Scottish currency despite Post Office head office assuring me this was acceptable and welcomed at all branches in the UK. The Post Master basically told me. I quote its my post office, my rules and I will do what I want. if you dont like it dont come here Will be back once I receive an outcome from Head Office.

Absolutely disappointed. On google it says they close at 5:30. I finished work early and We got there by 5 oclock they were still open and it was just my shoes that i need to get packed but the lady refused to do that and said they are closed. I told her it shows on google that it closes at 5:30 but she still refused to do it and was very rude. Absolutely disappointed by their behaviour. Kindly give the correct timing of your opening and closing hours and dont waste our time

Constantly breaking the rules of royal mail. When you send a package, 'large letter' size, they ask what is in the package (usually a shirt), then if it is not an actual letter, they insist you pay for a parcel size instead. Even though my package is large letter size. Now lately they have stop letting me use my own royal mail stamps and say that I have to purchase stamps in the shop. I bought the stamps from the royal mail website to save time because there is always large lines in the shop. If you ask for something with 'tracking' they will try and sell you the most expensive service and never explain all the options to you. You have to be an expert in postage costs not to get ripped off by these guys. Their closing time is advertised as 5:30pm but they are always shut by 5pm - 5:15pm, frustrating because I don't finish work until 5. They often close for lunch also during the middle of the day also, and no mention of this online. I left a positive review earlier as the post-master begged me to, and I felt sorry for him at the time, but after over a year of horrible service, that seems to get worse and worse over time, I changed my mind. The only reason why anyone would use this place is because it's the only post office in Great Harwood. Any positive reviews on here because the post master is begging regular users to leave a positive review, it's not a true reflection of the service. This is no way to run a post office (or any legitimate business) in 2022.

Very friendly staff always helpful whether posting items changing currency or just depositing money always use them
