Tom Swinhoe Dry Stone Walling

Tom has beautifully restored a degraded dry-stone wall which was originally a farm boundary dating back at least a couple of centuries; and the result is a joy to behold. He clearly loved working with local Rossendale gritstone and it took great skill and care to build in a flowing curve, plus a height change which needed variable-width foundations. The result is stunning, with lovely colour and texture. Tom is a great guy; and a master craftsman who is a pleasure to watch in action - a real artist.

Tom re-layed all the paving around my swimming pool area and sourced a large slab of stone to make a hearth for my log burner. I was delighted with his work and wouldnt hesitate to recommend him. He is very personable and he works very neatly, tidying up after himself. I have rebooked his services and m looking forward to him coming back to lay paving around my greenhouse. Thank you Tom!

Tom provided a fantastic service. He totally rebuilt a dry stone wall at the back of our garden, completing the job in the time frame he initially stated. It looked great and the price was very competitive. Our neighbours were so impressed with his work, they asked him to do some walling for them straight after! Highly recommended!

Tom is reliable and honest.... we gave him a house key for when we were not around. His communication skills are commendable as he remained in constant contact with us with updates etc. His workmanship is that of a truly skilled professional. We were thankful to have met Tom and would have no hesitation in calling on him for future projects.
