Me and my partner used to love this place and come all the time. The owner is lovely and a sweetheart! However my service and food today was terrible. I order both large fish and chips, however the lady didn't hear me properly and I ended up paying for a regular chips and large fish. Went home and my order had a very small portion of chips. I came back complaining and the same lady who attended me before was disputing a bit but ended up giving a new order. I also had problems with my new order, the fish wasn't crispy and tasty and the chips didn't taste much of salt and vinegar. I was a bit sad and disappointed since I was a regular costumer and never complained yet I received this kind of service. Unfortunately I'm not coming back.

Gone down hill a medium portion of chips is now the size of a cone of chips in any other chippy especially for the price which is more expensive than the other chippies, this is beyond me. When asked about this the response was we reduced the portions as people werent eating all the chips surely thats for the customer to order a smaller portion not for the chippy reduce portion sizes and keep the price the same. The owner appears on the surface to be friendly but it appears also a huge bully in the face of criticism. I suggest he takes peoples criticism on board instead of leaving snide replies to fair assessments of the chippy. Although I expect a thinly veiled insult as a reply instead.
