I think the convenience and the staff make the 4 star rating. I would have given it 5 stars but the prices have gone up to extortionate levels - the reason for this is not solely down to the cost of living crisis, what I have witnessed and experienced are people going in with big holdalls, filling the bag with food and items and then walking out without paying, I have also seen people at the self serve lanes not paying for their items and then walking away, if the staff approach the person who is stealing the items they have to let the person go because they are not trained to deal with aggressive and potentially violent shop lifters. I remember during the pandemic I was walking into the entrance and a shoplifter nearly knocked me over trying to get away. What the branch needs is a store security guard who will not take any messing around to give thieves a choice, give the stolen items back, and walk away, or the option of being dealt with informally where there is no CCTV and no witnesses (and no police involvement) or face a Police prosecution. Thieves are driving up the costs of the food to such a point where soon legitimate customers will be priced out. If the Co-op does not address this problem very soon it will be driven out of business and the entire community it serves will lose out. No theft or robbery should ever be tolerated by any retail outlet. Boots have got their stores CCTV'd with an observer on a mic that tells a shoplifter that are being observed and recorded, as a result Boots shoplifting has declined. The person observing will announce on a tannoy that the crime is being observed, that kind of attention is something no thief would want.

Expensive and not much choice, only good for shopping late and on a Sunday when supermarkets are shut
