I recently contacted the church in my search for the burial whereabouts of my ancestor, Dr Edmund Compston who lived next door with his wife Elizabeth and two daughters. Edmund played the organ for many years and was the head of the Treasury in early 1900s. He was one of the first doctors to practice Homeopathy. His wife is buried there but we don't know where he is buried. The big mystery "Wilf" has been so very helpful , kind and courteous. Sent me some great shots of the neighborhood. He told me The church is still active (Covid permitting) and services are held in the former Sunday School on York Street which is behind the old church. That the old church is now a residential building. That's sad , to lose your church property

Seriously fed up with the idiotic parking of the people who use this place. Its a residential street and folk seem to just abandon their cars blocking the road, park across residents gates and generally create chaos. Be responsible and get your users to think about others instead of being moronic, inconciderate arses!!!!
