Really wanted to give this place 4 out of 5 but we have big appetites (2 of us) and left feeling hungry, along with a couple other things that were a bit disappointing. However, would still go back! Why? We were first ones in on a quiet Wednesday evening, and were excited by the menu. They offer small plates and large plates, as opposed to starters and mains but essentially the same idea. We ordered three small plates: duck lollipops, chicken doughnuts and a dozen wings in 4 different sauces. Chicken doughnuts - delicious! Fresh, hot and tasty with an unusual but spot on strawberry chilli dipping sauce. Duck lollipops were good, but a little dry, and the advertised 'duck crackling' was sadly a bit chewy, although the hoisin sauce it all came with was excellent. The Korean flavoured and Honey Garlic wings were amazing, my hubby liked the sriracha spicy ones too but we were both a bit underwhelmed by the salt and pepper option... Not much of either and lots of coriander. Not unpleasant, just not what you expect for Salt&Pepper. We also ordered 2 large plates, the Salt & Pepper Chicken Burger. Again, not much flavour to let you know it was S&p but more upsetting than that was the fact it was only half a chicken breast on the burger... For 11 I expect the whole breast! The curry cheese syringe was gimmicky and didn't compliment the dish at all, and the Katsu sauce was again underwhelming. It would have benefitted from more of the strawberry chilli sauce! 50 all in with one beer and one coke. Its definitely worth going for Wing it Wednesday (50p per wing) and for thechicken doughnuts but it could have been so much more!
