        Charming period cottage near the banks of the Braithwaite Lake in Thornthwaite. Lovely garden and a very peaceful location. Rooms: Wonderful large rooms with views out over the surrounding countryside.

        Lovely, charming place that is exactly what B&Bs should be. The host was wonderful throughout and it was lovely to have a long chat with her after breakfast. The room and whole house is full of character and the whole experience was so much more than just a chain hotel. Then, the breakfast to top it off was outstanding. Quality meat products from the local butcher and fresh eggs from the chickens. Finally, the views are out of this world. Superb stay, thank you, I will return, this time on holiday.
