        Spruce used to be my favourite dry cleaners but theyve recently changed owners and I had a really awful experience. It might just be teething problems, but I would recommend you take pictures of your stuff before you give it to them, and ask them up front about the risks involved with dry cleaning your item. They stained a shirt I was dry-cleaning to sell, they said theyd fix it and then fried it to the point where it is completely ruined and unwearable. When I pointed that out, the manager screamed at me until I cried, and said I was being selfish expecting them to dry-clean something at a fraction of the price of what I was going to sell it for, blaming me for the stains and denying any responsibility for the annihilation of the shirt. He later apologised, asked if they could make it up to me by offering me compensation, asked me to come in on a Saturday morning to collect my compensation. When I got there he wasnt there and I had to leave my shirt with them again so they could show it to the manager. I never heard from the manager again, instead another member of staff emailed me offering to pay me a fraction of the price I agreed with the manager which at first I was annoyed about but eventually agreed to accept just to put the matter to rest. And after all that... they never paid me! Its a shame, I really like the previous owner and she had encouraged me to bring in my designer items that didn't fit me anymore for dry cleaning so that I could sell them. So it was a real shock to discover my items werent safe and Spruce seemed to be annoyed by the fact that I was selling them. Service: Organic dry cleaning
