I saw Dr Sahib at very short notice. Having worked with GPs for over a decade, i couldnt fault his expertise and professionalism. It was refreshing to see a GP like Dr Sahib!

Incredible surgery doing their best in hard times. The consistency of staff is something I have not seen anywhere else with the same doctors there to treat you for years, developing thoughtful relationships. I hope everyone gets this level of care.

Dr. Chua please sort the reception! Rude staff with stinky attitude! I will be reporting the surgery, the surgery gets money from government so you dont treat people for free. The reception staff gets paid salary for working at the surgery so they should provide a customer service not being rude to patients. I will take the recent encounter with your reception staff further. Ms Tiana should learn some manners and basic etiquette.

When I moved to South Ken, I asked friends and neighbors if they knew a good GP. Many recommended The Abingdon Medical Practice and they were absolutely right. It's one of the best surgeries I've been to in London (and given many moves over many years I have seen a few). All the staff are very courteous and pay great attention to patients' needs. I am particularly grateful to Dr. Sri and Dr. Sahib and Teanna at the reception who is always warm and welcoming. I am only sorry I do not recall all the names of the lovely people who work there. Even during the stressful period of the recent crisis where the medical staff were being inundated with requests and needs, they have been very professional and always there to help. Thank you all at The Abingdon Medical Practice :-)

Unfortunately if you look at all these bad reviews there is one common denominator - reception staff. I know it is a running joke that GP reception staff are interesting characters, but honestly. Every bad review echoes the same sentiment. My father just called for a prescription as he has suddenly travel for a funeral tomorrow, and was told by the receptionist to 'plan better' and don't be rude when he asked if he could get it today from any of the doctors. Its laughable, at the end of the day this is a customer service role, and they get paid for this it is not voluntary charity work. I have had my fair share of bad experiences (which the manager apologised for, but I see there's been no improvement), I actually get really anxious even calling their number these days as I know its 90% likely to ruin my day. You never know what abuse you're going to get. Shame because the GPs and nurses are all great, but you must pass the abhorrent dragons to get access to them.
