Weird opening hours (shuts by 4:30 and closed on Mondays). Most of the desks are closed, so you either have to wait in line for a long time or use the self service, which doesn't do everything you need. You go INTO a bank to speak to a person, that's kind of the point of banks, however Barclays are making it very clear they dont want to actually have to deal with customers. You have all my money, I'd expect a much better service that's open more regularly, with more staff. However staff that are there are very friendly. Just Barclays being greedy, maximising profit over service.

What a joke - complimented by an absolutely terrible phone banking service. Each sending you between branch and phone banking.

4 people on today long queue to see anyone I took 1/2 day to get a chaos payment done to pay my mortgage. Felt for the staff, banks dont care anymore for customers who need something done face to face.

Absolutely shocking having to wait over an hour to see someone to complete a simple paper transaction. Can't really blame the one member of staff seeing customers, it is the number off them behind closed doors and screens that is frustrating. I get the distinct impression that Barclays don't want to be in Retail Banking anymore!
