My husband and I were on a walking holiday for our anniversary and this was the second day of our walk. The first night was at an awful hotel so this was a much welcome relief when we arrived to be met by the friendly host who got the fire going to dry our poor boots. The farm house is dressed as it should be for a property of its period. The room had everything we needed a comfy bed,hot drink making facilities and a wonderful power shower in the ensuite. Across the road is a handy pub for a well deserved beer. We awoke to the sounds of the countryside and our host made us a wonderful breakfast to set us up for another day of walking. Would recommend highly and definitely stay again if needed.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The decor is quite intense and very old fashioned but I found it quirky and interesting. Found the host a little unfriendly and she repeatedly asked us if we wanted sausages and bacon at breakfast despite telling her several times we are veggie. She also didnt provide gf bread despite being given advanced notice. Breakfast was 8.30 - 9am which worked well for us but be warned if you are on a different schedule. It was overall a memorable and fun experience but not necessarily for the faint hearted!
