        I have been drinking and eating here for nearly 30 years. Over the years it has evolved into its current gastro-pub incarnation. It's fine but the loss of the traditional bar, which had until recently survived all updates, seems to have robbed it of the character that made it memorable and just that bit different to other similar gastro joints. Pity but if this is your neck of the woods it's still the best, possibly the only pub around.

        Lovely place, lovely people, but really bad food. The burger was really not great (the French frie were good though) and then the crumble which was watery.
